Q10: What is the past history of attacks on Sabarimala shrine?
Since last 60 years, there has been a constant attack on this temple by those groups who are involved in conversion of the tribal people in and around the Ayyappa Swamy temple. pic.twitter.com/aWbhmDSXe8

Christian Missionaries since centuries have followed agenda of conversion and their primary target is poor people living in the tribal and rural areas.
They exploit their helpless situation by luring them for job, money or education and convert them into Christianity.

However this model was not so successful in Sabarimala region due to the enormous faith of poor and lower caste Hindus in Lord Ayyappa.
Since centuries people from all castes come to Sabarimala rubbing shoulders with each other, the temple never discriminates with any one.

Attack 2: In the year 1983, the Christian Missionaries suddenly started claiming that they have found a holy cross near the Shiva Temple in Nilakkal close to Sabarimala.
Missionaries spread the news that the cross found was 2000 years old and was brought there by St Thomas.

Following this the missionaries,
– named the street St Thomas Road and Sabarimala as St Thomas Mount
– large number of Christians began visiting Nilakkal
– then Government sanctioned one acre of land to build a church there— सत्य अन्वेषक (@SatyaAnveshak) November 23, 2018
When an enquiry was conducted in whic locals had reported that the cross was nowhere all these years, but was put there just a week before it became news.
Moreover, in the environmental and climatic conditions of Kerala a wooden cross of 2000 year old could have never survived.

Later on the Vatican itself confirmed that St Thomas never visited India nor was he killed by any Brahmin from Chennai (as falsely claimed), and clarified that his death took place in Ortana, Italy.
Entire myth was busted and missionaries had to bend their head in shame.
