It is really heart wretching that Raja Raja Jaichand who is sold as the traitorous and a fallen hindu and nobody ever tried to correct the narrative being peddled. Jai Chamd was not a traitor. Jaichand did not betray Prithviraj Chauhan. This is a myth from Prithviraj Raso. https://t.co/xndH01Lc7y

He himself valiantly died fighting against Ghori.Jaichand has been vilified by Left historians who believe in Chand Bardai's PrithviRaj Raso as Gospel ! It has Zero historical value, written in 15CE. Contemporary sources PrithviRaj Vijay and Hamir Mahakavya don't mention Jaichand.

Jaichand didn't support Prithviraj during 2nd Battle Of Tarain. There is no proof that he supported Ghuri and betrayal to Prithviraj. Jaichand was not a traitor, but traitors are still present who do anti-Hindu activities just for their personal benefits.

The Jaichand story was fabricated on a later date. No Islamic or contemporary Hindu sources tell tale of Jaichand's betrayal. If circumstantial evidence are to go by, Jaichand hated Turks. JAICHAND WAS A GREAT KING, He himself valiantly died fighting Ghori.

Vividha-vidya-vichara-vachaspati ("patron of different branches of learning")
He ruled the Antarvedi country in the Gangetic plains, including the important cities of Kanyakubja and Varanasi. His territory included much of the present-day eastern Uttar Pradesh and some parts of western Bihar.

According to Prithviraj Raso, Jaichand was a rival of another Indian king, Prithviraj Chauhan. His daughter Samyukta eloped with Prithviraj against his wishes, and he allied with the foreign Ghurids to ensure Prithviraj's downfall.

Because of this legend, he is remembered as a symbol of treachery in the medieval Indian folklore. However, this account is historically inaccurate. Prithviraj Raso contains a mixture of imaginary stories and historical facts, which it exaggerates for dramatic effect.

The largest version of Prithviraj Raso is especially known to contain several inaccuracies, and is of little historical value. The more contemporary, and accurate, account is the Prithviraja Vijaya written by Jayanaka.

Raja Jaichand was a fearless fighter, a brave king, whose empire, as per the Muslim chroniclers of the time, stretched from the borders of China to Malwa.
