DID ISI OF PAKISTAN FINGER AYMAN AL ZAWHIRI FOR CLAIMING BOUNTY FROM CIA?

– Col Ramakrishna (Retd. Colonel Indian Army

TALIBAN — PAKISTAN PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES.

Ayman Al Zawahiri, the head of AL QAIDA, was terminated on 31 July, by a missile in Kabul while enjoying his last minutes, viewing the local scenery.

What will be the fallout on Pakistan when Al Qaida realises its leader has been sold to CIA by the Pakistani ISI?

The US has killed the leader of al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, in a drone strike in Afghanistan, President Joe Biden has confirmed.

Ayman al-Zawahiri

He was killed in a counter-terrorism operation carried out by the CIA in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday. He and Osama Bin Laden plotted the 9/11 attacks together, and he was one of America’s most wanted terrorists.

Mr Biden said al-Zawahiri had “carved a trail of murder and violence against American citizens”.

Did Pakistan trade Al Qaida leader Al Zawahiri for a loan of a billion from IMF?

Terrorist Al Zawahiri had been provided with a ‘safe House’ by Haqqani, the Home Minister of Afghanistan.

The story of how Al Zawahiri the super clever boss of Al Qaida was fooled into moving into a ‘safe house’ run by Haqqani Network/ ISI will unfold in time.

Haqqani network dominating the Taliban regime in Afghanistan is an arm of ISI, the premier spy agency of Pakistan.

One cannot admire the superb manner of how the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has perfected the art of funding and incubating terrorist agencies, providing shelter to leaders of terrorist organisations even while fooling USA and extracting billions of US $ for ‘war on terrorism’.

The irony is that even while hosting terrorists and their leaders like Osama Bin Laden, and Haqqani; Pakistani Generals like Musharraf and spy chiefs of ISI like Gen Kayani were fingering terrorists at various levels to CIA, and collecting huge sums as bounty, running into millions of US$.

How else could Pakistani generals afford to buy mansions in Dubai or fast-food chains in USA?

“Gen. Pervez Musharraf, revealed in his memoir, “In the Line of Fire,” that Pakistan had captured 689 al-Qaeda terror suspects, and turned over 369 to Washington.” “We have earned bounties totalling millions of dollars,” Musharraf said, without specifying how much was paid. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pakistan-selling-innocents-to-us/

The close association and partnership of Pakistani army, Government and its spy agency ISI is with terrorist agencies even when in partnership with USA not a secret anymore.

Pakistani Avarice and Double Dealings

It is public knowledge that Pakistan has been supporting Taliban, one of the most backward regressive and violent terrorist organisations founded and controlled initially by Pakistan’s premier spy agency ISI. Pakistan’s sympathy for international terrorist organisations like Al Qaida and ISIS are also no secret.

BUSINESS OF BREEDING TERRORISTS AND SELLING THEM

Terrorism is a highly viable lucrative business proposition with low risk and high rewards for its organisers.

As a tool of state policy Pakistan has been forming terrorist organisations and incubating them on its soil, openly in Bahawalpur, Murdike FATA, POK and even Afghanistan.

Thousands of Madrassas have been established across Pakistan where poor Muslim children are indoctrinated into to the most violent and perverse aspects of Islam and sent out to create mayhem and kill innocents.

Funds, billions in US $, £, and € for these ‘religious institutions’ pour in from the Middle East countries and Muslims from across the world in the name of Jihad. CIA has also been funding Pakistan in these nefarious projects for many many years.

“Zakat, one of the five pillars of Islam that calls for charitable giving, has been a major factor behind the funding of madrassas in Pakistan. While there are no published reports that link charitable giving from Gulf States, such as Saudi Arabia, (Blanchard 2004) to the madrassas in Pakistan, some critics have alleged that these governments have long encouraged this practice (Simpson). For example, classrooms at Darul Uloom Haqqania have small inscriptions informing visitors that Saudi Arabia donated the building materials (Haqqani).”

“One expert estimates charitable donation funnelled from Saudi Arabia to education in Pakistan at around $3 billion to $4 billion annually (Winer). Through zakat donations both ideas and monetary exchanges have floated into the Pakistani madrassas. Therefore, countries like Saudi Arabia have had a large amount of influence over the madrassas where they donate”. https://digitalcommons.salve.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1044&context=pell_theses

The youth indoctrinated into violence are then channeled to terrorist organisations like JeM, LeT, Al Qaida, ISIS etc. Sooner or later many of these young men and women upgraded themselves to be sighted in the list of ‘most wanted’ terrorists and carry bounty on their heads.

These terrorists with bounty on their heads are handed over to CIA and other intelligence agencies, by their trainers and ISI generals, who collect fat sums of money from USA. The terrorists themselves are unaware who has ratted against them.

AL Zawahiri: Elimination and Fallout

PAKISTAN

Pakistan’s economy is in ruins. Pakistan has been going around the world begging for alms.

Did Pakistan trade Al Qaida leader Al Zawahiri for a loan of a billion from IMF?

President Musharraf and the ISI have so far managed to deceive the Al Qaida and its supporters of their perfidy, against Osama Bin Laden. Musharraf and the Pakistani establishment denied complete knowledge of the midnight raid that terminated Osama Bin Laden who had been given shelter and ‘safe hideout ‘near Pakistani Military Academy.

Will Al Qaida not be angered by this act of ‘Haram’ by ISI and Haqqani Network of Pakistani army?

Will Al Qaida extract revenge on Pakistani army in Pakistan, directly or through TTP, a home-grown terrorist organisation of Pakistan, now operating safely from Afghanistan?

Pakistan should be prepared for receiving hard blows from Al Qaida.

We will know the answers in a short while.

TALIBAN

Taliban ruling Afghanistan today has a difficult time ahead proving to USA that they meant no harm by providing a safe house for the most wanted terrorist in the world.

According to Taliban, they have given only given safe living and asylum to Al Qaida head Al Zawahiri in Afghanistan but have not allowed him to conduct any terrorist operations from Afghanistan.

Therefore, they have NOT broken the Doha accord with the USA.

Possibilities of a cooling in the relationship between USA and Taliban is most likely. Any bailout of Afghanistan soon can be ruled out.

USA

President Biden has been loosing popularity ever since US army withdrawal took place in an atmosphere of Chaos from Afghanistan in Aug 2021.

His inability to floor Russia through sanctions and booster up his tough man image in the unending Ukraine war is making him look bad.

This piece of eliminating Al Qaida chief gives him a small step towards retrieving his image as an old and weak president.

INDIA: Helpless or Spineless?

Perpetrators of murderous terrorist attacks on India are roaming freely in Pakistan and around the world today.

Bombings on March 12, 1993, killed 257 innocent Indians and injured more than 700. Targeting of Mumbai trains on 11 July 2006 killing more than 200 innocents and severely injured over 600 others.

No justice to these victims and their families. pain of nationalist have not been addressed so far.

What about those more than twenty Pakistanis and US citizens like Hadley involved in the dastardly attack on 26/11 in Mumbai?

We know that the terrorists involved on 26/11 “had been motivated and briefed personally by Hafiz Saeed, the head of LeT (which had renamed itself Jamaat-ud-Dawa) and were trained by Pakistan Army officers.”

Yet no action has been taken against these terrorists, who are being protected by Pakistani government and its army.

How should India deal with Taliban government and Afghanistan?

India was showing signs of thaw to Taliban government in Afghanistan. Taliban is a fact on the ground in Afghanistan, and India would like to avoid a completely antagonistic neighbourhood in the northwest. India does not wish to have a composite force of Pakistan and Afghanistan on the west. Worse, aligned with an aggressive China.

However, the presence of Al Qaida, officially settled in Kabul is a red flag.

Terrorist Al Zawahiri had openly canvassed for destruction of India and annihilation of Hindus. Same as Osama Bin Laden and other Mohammedan terrorist organisations.

While aid in terms of food items, and medicines are being arranged in large quantities for helping out the Afghan population, Is India simultaneously supporting a regressive inimical regime, which is bent upon the destruction of India, in partnership with Pakistan?

Presence of these preachers of hate against India, working against Indian interests in Afghanistan, supported by Taliban is NOT a good sign.

It clearly indicates that there has been no change at all in the Taliban approach to India i.e., Bharat and the last few Hindus left in this world.

There is no reason for India to go out of the way to act in any manner that will strengthen Taliban hold on Afghanistan.

Last but most necessary:

India must strengthen itself to take action anywhere in the world against terrorists. India must reserve the right to deliver justice anywhere in the world. India must send a firm message across to all perpetrators of terrorist activities that India will retaliate and no mercy will be shown to terrorists.
